Is the Chemo working?
Carolin had a visit with the doctor before chemo session #3. The things we learned:
- the cancer in the lymph nodes and a site below the collar bone is shrinking quickly. (Yeah!!)
- the main tumor is still large and hard to say if it is being affected.
Two more sessions of chemo are still planned. Next one is Thursday.

Hey Carolin!
I'm sorry the Chemo is hard on your system, but I'm so glad to hear it is working on the lymph nodes! You guys look great in your the "Run for the Cure" pictures! Luke saw the picture of you and Jess and said "Hey, cool do-rag on Jessica's Mommy!"
I wanted to tell you, Luke and I did the Terry Fox in September (a Grade 1 version). It involved walking from his school to a big park here in Sarnia, and around the park 2 times and back. The school had been telling the kids we do this walk to get money to find a cure for cancer. After Luke and I had finished our second lap, I said, "Okay, are we ready to head back to the school?", and Luke says, "But we haven't found any moneys for cancer -- where is it?" I guess he was thinking that there would be big piles of money here and there in the park, and we would just collect it up and take it back to the school to donate. Too cute.
Anyway, we just wanted to let you know that we are thinking of you lots and hoping that the negative effects session #3 are over quickly.
