Legs quit
This morning while chewing my morning multivitamin, I fell on the floor. Sandy said there was a little piroette involved but basically I fell down without warning. I got back to bed but I couldn't walk. At noon I tried again. It wasn't pretty. Hot flashes. Cold flashes. Light headed and generally a hazard to small things that crush easily. I called and cancelled my herceptin (not something I do lightly).
Then I got a surprise. The cancer clinic called back and said that the herceptin was premixed, cost $3,000 a dose (!!) and I had better go get it. Friends rallied around and got me there and back. Now at supper time, I'm just a little dozy but I can walk. I going to cut back on the Tylenol 3s.
What did it? Don't know. Hopefully low blood pressure.

Hi Carolin,
I think about you every day and marvel at how strong you are through everything. Happy Birthday - that is one thing I was thinking our group does not know about each other. Get some rest and I hope to see you soon. Love Michele

UNBELIEVABLE - I was reading this to Jen and we both just kept shaking out heads. You're perserverance is just amazing. Even your willingness to keep sharing with all of us is amazing. As I drove by your home today and saw the front door open I thought:"oh, maybe she is doing well today." But no, your legs had quit!Is there any part of your body that hasn't given you some kind of a problem. You know, I bet the doctors are going to make alot of money off of you just writing about you in the medical journals. I am certain there is no one on earth who keeps on keeping on like you do.
Hugs,
Cheryl

Hey Carolin,
I keep checking in to see if you are feeling better and hoping to find some good news and explanation to your recent trouble with your legs. I'm sending positive vibes your way and hoping that the good doctors are able to help you feel better and not "crush any small objects" that happen to be near you. You already know this, but you are a trooper. We are thinking of you. Rebecca

Hi Carolin,
My goodness, I went away for 6 days and came home and checked in on you to find that you have taken up kitchen ballet. I am so sorry for all the recent events in your life but heartened that you still have the "Carolin" view of looking at it all. Still thinking of you everyday.
