Carolin's New Hobby

The lovely summer of 2004 came to an abrupt end when Carolin was diagnosed with cancer. What follows are the random thoughts and experiences of the Camerons as Carolin fights back.

Hospice (update1)

This afternoon Carolin moved to Agape Hospice at 1320 - 8th Ave NW in Calgary. (ph 282-6588) Visiting hours are "anytime" but if it is outside business hours you have to buzz at the front door. She is on the second floor (turn right off the elevator) in the "green forest room". There are lots of private places to make calls, read books, or just visit.

You should be aware that Carolin is generally uncommunicative and often not aware of her surroundings.

I struggle to think of the right words to say, but want you to know that I think of Carolin often, and have been praying for her during her journey. I now pray that she is as comfortable as possible. I can't begin to imagine how you or Jessica are feeling right now, but hope that you can continue to be strong and support each other. You have all shown tremendous strength and courage! Hugs, Jennifer Gaudet

You are one strong family. You have made it a commitment to keep us aware of Carolin's journey. Thank you a thousand time. Everyday we pray for you, you are in our thoughts, our prayer.

At this time, there are many
things we are not sure of -

    - what to say
    - how to act
    - when to come
    - when to give you privacy and space
    - exactly how this fits into God's plan
    - what the next year and years will bring

But there are also many things we do know -

    - so many people, near and far, care for your family
    - we stand close by to do anything we know you want or need
    - we are grateful for your great courage and example
    - along with so many trials, there have also been many blessings
    - God does know what is in store for all of you, and He will continue to guide, direct and bless you.
